Inside the Freemasons HQ

A few weeks ago, I got an unexpected invitation.
I was talking on my Times Radio show about Freemasons – one of the oldest fraternal organisations in the world. Membership is secretive, but high profile Masons have included members of the Royal Family, Prime Ministers, business leaders and least fourteen Presidents.
The Freemasons have often been accused of covertly ruling the world. Their secretive rituals and use of mysterious symbols, one of which appears on the dollar bill, has made them one of the main characters in countless conspiracy theories. Some people suggest that the Freemasons are controlling governments, to bring about a New World Order, others claim the Freemasons are humanoid reptiles, covering up that the world is flat.
Recently, a more realistic accusation has emerged. That Freemasons in positions of authority, like the police, are covering for each other. The Metropolitan Police confirmed they’re considering making their officers declare if they are members of the brotherhood, after a report criticised their secrecy.
The morning after my radio show, I woke up to an email from a Freemason. But not just any Freemason. A man called Adrian Marsh. The Grand Secretary of the United Grand Lodge of England.
Adrian was inviting me to meet him at the Freemasons mysterious headquarters in central London. And I said… yes.
