The Hits Radio’s Guide to British Life

Dear George,

Welcome to the world and most importantly, welcome to Great Britain. Look around you and soak it up. One day, whether you and I like it or not, you will reign glorious over this green and pleasant land.

We know you’re new around here so we thought we’d put together a bit of a guide. Some tips and advice. See it as a welcome pack, of sorts.

With help from The Hits Radio listeners, presenters and a few famous faces, we have given you a bit of a heads up on what to expect with some important dos and don’ts. Things like…

–         Always save the orange bit of the jaffa cake till last. – Beth in Wiltshire

–        Make sure you inherit your Mum’s taste in music – she loves Calvin, Guetta and Goulding so you might as well stick The Hits Radio on. Elliot.

–        Never eat deep fried Mars bars when you’re in Scotland, they’re not as nice as you might think. Carly in Sommerset

–       Feed your sprouts to the dog during Christmas dinner, that way nobody will ever know you didn’t eat them. Matt on Twitter

So here it is, in one handy pack. Everything you need to know to get by in Great Britain. And when it comes to dishing out knighthoods, don’t forget who did this for you, eh.

Best wishes,
Darryl
