Cowell For X Factor Return?
It seems ITV are pleading with Simon Cowell to make a return to X Factor. The contracts for the shows are up and ITV want their star man back on the front line.
The broadcaster pays around £50million for the shows, produced by Simon’s company Syco, and they want the inevitable ratings boost that he could give them.
I’d love to see Si back on TV more often. He’s been out in the states launching X Factor USA and while it would be a big commitment, both BGT and the mighty X are crying out for his star dust. He DID appear in the BGT live shows but it just wasn’t the same. Neither show are anywhere near their sell by date, despite what people like to say, but they’re definitely lacking a certain Cowell magic.
