You Me At Six – Lived A Lie

This morning I opened the show with the new You Me At Six tune, Lived A Lie. It was a bold move 7am on a Wednesday morning but it went down a storm.

The band said in an interview recently that “rock music isn’t dead.” Far from that, it’s back on the rise. And You Me At Six are riding it back into the charts.

Lived A Lie is a roaring, inspiring bit of fighting talk from Josh, Dan, Matt, Chris and Max. About two minutes in, it starts to feel like the soundtrack to an epic uprising.

The reaction was unanimously positive this morning, not easy thing to achieve at 7am on a Wednesday when most of us are feeling the pain of being yanked out of bed to face the day.
