Batkid Saves Gotham City

Ready for the most heartwarming story of 2013?

Five-year-old Miles Scott from Oregon was given the chance to play out his ultimate fantasy; to save Gotham City from its enemies, Penguin and The Riddler.

Three years ago, the Scott family were hit with the devastating news that Miles was battling leukaemia. When the Make A Wish Foundation, which helps terminally-ill children and their families, asked Miles what his dream was he simply said… to be ‘Batkid’. And so it was to be…

Thousands of volunteers signed up to help Miles’ dream come true with part of San Francisco transformed into Gotham City for the day. On Friday morning, he recieved a call from San Francisco police chief Greg Suhr with an urgent plee for Batkid’s help.

Thousands of people lined the streets as actors, camera crews and the San Francisco police department played out Miles’ dream.
